The Alumni Association of PSGR Krishnammal College for Women hosted a mega Alumni Meet Purples Day 2025 on March 1, 2025. The College takes pride in having secured 7th position ranking among the Arts and Science Colleges in India in NIRF Ranking and A++ Grade in NAAC Accreditation, with the Science departments of the College being recognised with Star Status by the DBT, Government of India. The Alumni Association of the College holds Alumni meets, both physical and virtual to enable its alumni who are placed in distinguished positions abroad to be in connect with their Alma Mater every year. Purples Day 2025 was a confluence of about 2000 alumni. On founders’ day celebrations, GRG Brand Ambassador Award has been given to Ms. Asha Bhat, B.Sc. Botany (1976-79), Dr. V. Janaki. GRG Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award to Dr. (Prof). S. Rajasekaran, Ganga Hospitals. Chandrakanthi Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award to Dr. Santi Duraisamy, director of Sakthi Masala. Rs. 75,00,000 has been contributed to the Alumni Student Recreation Centre. The scholarship will be distributed to the meritorious and deserving students. The Alumni Merit Scholarship is a gesture of the Alumni’s gratitude to the College and being true to the adage “Be the change that you want to see.” The event was not without fun. It was a nostalgic moment of sharing the experiences of their golden period.
